York County CTO visits Cherokee Trout Derby

@YorkSCCTO will be visiting the 22nd Annual Talking Trees Children's Trout Fishing Derby

This is a free event Cherokee offers for children 3-11 years old. This is NOT hosted by CTO but members of our chapter will be attending, and we encourage everyone else to go as well. Our youth 12-20 and adults can help the younger kids, and families can have a great time at this wonderful event. We do ask everyone to wear their favorite CTO gear on the 5th during the tournament to let our presence be known and to share what God is doing through Cross Trail Outfitters.

We can tell you Indian Creek Campground, Jellystone in Cherokee, KOA and others are great places to tent camp or rent a small cabin. Of course you can also find places on VRBO and AirBnB.

We also encourage all who can to try to attend the Unto These Hills drama either on Friday or Saturday night. We have some of our leaders who are social studies teachers and this they say is a great way to help children and adults understand what took place in our own backyard. We can also see how Christian missionaries played a role and their relationship with the Cherokee Native Americans. If your family does plan to attend that show reach out to Coach B 803-610-3750 so we can coordinate which night and go as a group possibly.

$25 General Admission - Child No reserved seating • Ages 6 - 11

If you have children you want to go to this event but the family can not go let Coach B know and we will try to accommodate them in our plans for this great weekend event.
